Hi everyone Rochelle Morris from the AIPP video council and the awards team,

The COVID-19 pandemic may have cancelled our in-person Australian Video Producer Awards (AVPA), however it won’t keep us down.
We have re-framed the situation and created a bigger and better online format.

Our ReFrame awards is an exciting opportunity for our professionals, to celebrate the areas that make our work unique.
It’s rare that we can acknowledge the skills sets that define a film and video, so here we have it!

ReFrame is designed to attract professionals of all levels, from all over Australia and across the globe.
We are proud to introduce 5 new categories, each with two subcategories that an entry may be submitted into.

Our categories are
Best Editing
Best Cinematography
Best Sound Design
Best Colour Grading
Best Showreel

Now while some categories like Sound and Colour are harder to see the impact on a film or video, we know as professionals, that it takes an artist to embrace these elements and a skill to integrate them seamlessly.
I encourage our video producers and companies, to look carefully at your productions and give kudos to those that deserve it.

ReFrame is open to both AIPP and APVP members and non members and there is no limit to the number of entries you are allowed to submit.

All AIPP and APVP members receive one FREE entry with additional entries at the cost of $22 per entry. All non-member entries will be at $44 per entry. We have aimed to keep this as affordable as possible.

This year, our category sponsors are Lacie, Sony, Skytech, Kayell and Camera Electronic. All of whom will be awarding a prize to the Best Commercial and Wedding entry.
That means we will have ten category winners!

We also have some exciting news!
The team from Nikon, who have over the years, been a huge supporter of AIPP Video, have supplied a Nikon Z6 kit.
As such our video committee is thrilled to announce that we will be having the APVP ReFrame Nikon Z Award.
The Nikon team will review all the finalists, and select a winner who they will award this prize to.

We have tried to make these awards exciting, challenging, and as different as possible from our usual annual awards – yet the objective of both remains the same: to showcase Australia’s best contemporary professional video producers.

We look forward to seeing our talented professionals enter these awards with their amazing work.
